A Course on Practical Fatigue and Damage Tolerance Evaluation of Aircraft Structures
A Course on Practical Fatigue and Damage Tolerance Evaluation of Aircraft Structures
The Fatigue and Damage Tolerance Evaluation course offered by AeroSIFT is a structured, application-focused program that covers the full lifecycle of fatigue and damage tolerance assessment in aircraft structures.
Delivered across five progressive modules, the course integrates fatigue crack initiation, load spectrum development, residual strength, crack propagation, and real-world certification and maintenance case studies.
Emphasis is placed on bridging theory with practice through approximately 50 guided exercises and case studies, enabling learners to apply concepts such as S–N curves, cumulative damage, stress intensity factors, fracture mechanics, regulatory compliance (FAR/CS 25.571), and inspection planning in realistic aerospace design and certification scenarios.

Over the past seven years, I have had the pleasure of attending two of his training courses, as well as working with him on several projects. The courses were extremely well structured and delivered, with content that was both technically thorough and easy to follow. As a trainer, he is patient, highly knowledgeable, and able to engage and teach people at all levels, from apprentices to those with many years of industry experience. Lisa Chambers BEng CEng MRAeS
